Meet 65-year-old Ray Adams, 68-year-old Samuel Crump, 67-year-old Dan Roberts and 73-year-old Frederick Thomas. They’re the four senior citizen militia members from Georgia the feds say plotted an attack on federal workers, former Rep. Cynthia McKinney and Attorney General Eric Holder . TLC’s ‘Virgin Diaries’ Ogles Lives of Adult Virgins

Cable channel TLC is putting out a new special on Dec. 4 titled ''The Virgin Diaries,'' which promises to take its viewers 'inside the lives of adult virgins who reveal the challenges, truths, and anticipations of losing their virginity.' The FDA’s Unhealthy Salt Obsession

(Jonathan H. Adler) Is too much salt bad for you? That used to be the conventional wisdom, but more recent scientific research has suggested the emphasis on salt is misplaced. No matter. As Walter Olson notes , the Food and Drug Administration appears to be moving ahead with plans to force gradual reductions in the salt content of processed foods. Among other things, the FDA is concerning the adoption of federal targets for gradual salt content reductions to wean consumers from their taste for salt. But reducing salt content will do more than alter food’s flavor. It can affect texture and perishability as well. Surely the FDA has better things to do than obsess over the salt content of processed foods. But if the FDA persists, I suppose it just means these (no relation) will get more use.

Ex-Sheriff Arrested For Allegedly Trying To Trade Meth For Sex

A Republican former sheriff in Colorado was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly trying to trade meth for sex with a man, as his former colleagues from the Sheriff’s department were “visually monitoring” the deal. Patrick Sullivan, 68, who was Sheriff of Arapahoe County in Colorado from 1984-2002, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the Sheriff’s department that began on November 17. Grayson Robinson, the current sheriff, said the investigation was prompted by a tip that Sullivan may be involved in distributing meth, according to the Denver Post . (Jonathan H. Adler) Today the National Labor Relations Board approved portions of a proposed rule to modify election procedures by a 2–1 vote. Only some of the (relatively) less controversial reforms to a ccelerate the pace of union elections were adopted, primarily those concerning pre-election appeals to the NLRB.
